Los Cacaos in oblivion

In spite of being the largest city, outside of San Cristobal, in the province of the same name, Los Cacaos does not have an ambulance. The sick and students are carries in the garbage truck. It doesn’t have a hospital, either. Los Cacaos is a city in the province of San Cristobal where 12,000 inhapbitants live, spread out in 42 sections, nd they lead precarious lives, victims of official forgetfulness and indifference.  One example of this is that a year and two months after the community was hit by Tropical Storm Noel, there are still 140 families, victims of the storm, that are being sheltered in the houses of family and friends according to mayor Rafael Enrique Ramirez Soto (Neno).  Moreover, the streets are still full of sand because the municipal government doesnot have the funds needed to asphalt them.  Another problem that affects the residents of Los Cacaos is that the roads are nearly impassable, as they waid for the government to fulfill its promises to rebuild...
